Forty-four-volume International Limited Edition set of Sir Walter Scott’s “Waverley Novels,” published by Estes & Lauriat, Boston, in 1894. The edition was limited to one thousand numbered copies, with this set numbered 844. The collection is uniformly bound in blue cloth with paper spine labels. The set includes numerous titles from Scott’s historical fiction canon. Condition shows age-related wear including rubbing to the bindings, bumped corners, and notable chipping and loss to many of the paper spine labels. Page edges display expected toning.
