The watch features a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, blued steel spade style hands, and subsidiary seconds dial at the six o’clock position. The name National Watch Co is visible on the dial, indicating an early Elgin piece, as the company operated under that name from 1864 to 1874. Housed in a nickel or silver plated case, the watch shows signs of age and oxidation consistent with a domed acrylic crystal and an oversized bow and pendant.
