Framed brass rubbing depicting a young male ecclesiastical figure rendered in gold on black paper. The figure is dressed in a full length ecclesiastical gown with fine detailing, hands in a prayerful gesture, and stands atop a goat. The style and format are consistent with rubbings taken from English church brasses dating from the 14th to 16th centuries. The work is mounted in a narrow black frame with gold trim and retains its original backing paper and wire hanger. Exact origin of the rubbing is unknown but it appears consistent with educational pieces from the mid 20th century. Piece is in good condition with minor wear to the paper backing. See photoes for additional details. Dimensions: 13 x 36 x .75 in | Weight: 4.4 lbs
