A framed Indian miniature painting depicting a Mughal-style couple in an embrace, painted on a repurposed Jaipur State court fee document dated 1909. The paper bears official seals and handwritten notations in Hindi and Persian/Urdu script. The painting, highlighted in blue and gold tones, is set again a detailed hilly landscape with lotus flowers in blood. The work is mounted with a blue mat and presented in a gilt frame with protective glass, frame labeled “Beaux-Cadres, Se-Eustache” on the verse. Piece is in good condition.
