Lot includes four carved Zuni animal fetishes; each made from bone or antler with inlaid eyes. The mountain lion is signed on the underside and carved from warm tone antler or fossil material with natural veining. The form is sleek with a curved tail and incised paw and whisker markings. The spider is rendered in antler with textured legs and inlaid turquoise eyes. This piece is also signed on the underside. The bear is signed J.K. Zuni on the underside and is carved from speckled cream and reddish stone. It features black inlaid eyes. The last fetish is a cougar or bobcat resting on a base. Thie piece is carved from antler or bone, and features inlay turquoise eyes and signed ALAMY on the underside. This set is in good condition. Local pickup is available by appointment at our Ferndale, Michigan facility. Pickup or shipping must be scheduled within 15 business days of the invoice date to avoid storage fees.
