Original 1978 Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater benefit poster issued by the Dance Theater Foundation in association with Columbia Artists. The lower margin advertises a benefit performance held at the Music Hall on Wednesday, March 29, 1978. The reverse includes an affixed newspaper article referencing Alvin Ailey’s 50th year, along with a handwritten acquisition note stating it was purchased in 2005 from Russell Street Art & Antiques in Detroit’s Eastern Market.
