Early 19th century English verge fusee pocket watch housed in a sterling silver case. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals, a subsidiary second dial, and gold spade-style hands. The case back displays a hand-engraved cartouche surrounded by intricate engine-turned decoration. Inside the case are clear English sterling silver hallmarks, including the lion passant for silver purity, the Birmingham assay mark, and the date letter “r” corresponding to 1832.
