Antique American self clock by Seth Thomas, manufactured in Thomaston, Connecticut, featuring a wooden case with hinged glass door and an original reverse-painted lower glass tablet depicting a seated woman in period dress within a decorative gilt border. The clock has a painted metal dial with Roman numerals, exposed brass movement, and a wire suspensions pendulum. The interior paper label reads “Patent Spring Brass Thirty Hour Clocks.” The case retains its original finish with visible age wear, and the reverse-painted tablet shows expected flaking and paint loss consistent with age. Interior label, movement, pendulum, and tablet appear period correct. Working condition has not been tested. Please see photos for additional details.
