Vintage Comet Model Hobbycraft "Belond A.P. Special" tether racing car, a 3/4 scale replica of the car that won the Indianapolis 500 in 1957 and 1958. The model is constructed of yellow plastic with molded drive figure, detailed cockpit, and racing decals including the number "1" and "Comet" logos. It features friction clutch drive and was originally designed for use with .074 "OK" Cub gas engine. The set includes the car, the original illustrated box, and printed instruction sheet. The box shows wear with edge splits and corner losses, while the car itself presents in good vintage condition with light age wear.
