Early 19th century copperplate engraving titled “The Setter,” depicting a hunting dog lying alert in tall grass within a rural landscape. The plate is titled beneath the image and marked “Republished by Edw. Orme, Bond St. 1812.” The work is presented in a molded frame with gilt line and wide mat. The reserve bears a dealer label from “Rare Old Prints,” Royal Oak, Michigan. Condition shows light toning and scattered spotting consistent with age.
