Large hand-carved green serpentine sculpture of a muskox by Kananginak Pootoogook (1935-2010) of Cape Dorset (Kinngait), Nunavut. The form emphasizes sweeping, incised fur striations and a compact stance on four block feet, with a high polish that brings out the dark green stone. The underside bears an incised signature, and the original Igloo tag.
