Matched pair of hand-painted porcelain vases, Republic period (c. 1915-1940), Jinhdezhen. Baluster form with flared rims and reticulated butterfly-form gilt-highlighted handles. Famille-rose peony panels to the front; back-enamel calligraphy to the reverse. Clean white glaze with unglazed footrings.
