Five-volume set of “Parkman’s Works” by Francis Parkman, published by Little, Brown, and Company, Boston, 1896. The set includes two volumes of “Montcalm and Wolfe,” two volumes of “The Conspiracy of Pontiac,” and “La Salle and the Discovery of the Great West.” Uniform brown cloth bindings with black decorative stamping and gilt spine titles. Illustrated with frontispiece portraits and includes a folding map. Text pages appear clean with light toning consistent with age. Bindings show general shelf wear, edge wear, and some rubbing.
